Hibernating

  1. Mitered squares blanket from oddball sock yarn (tutorial here) – an as-time-goes-by project
  2. Camisa from Knitscene Fall 2006 — only seaming left to do! (10/07) — Update (11/07): I started seaming and I don’t think the fit is going to work! :( Thebust and shoulders are too big and the waist and hips are too small. Either something went wrong with gauge or my stupidly daring mods, or I have shrunk and grown in all the wrong places. Since I don’t want to deal with it now, I have banished it to a hangar in the corner of my office. Blech.

frogFrog Pond (FP)

  1. My so-called scarf: This is a fascinating stitch pattern and I liked the colorway of the yarn I was using. However I made one too many mistakes that I glossed over — until they accumulated and started seriously messing with my happiness. When I re-do it, I will slip each first stitch to try and neaten the edge, as well.
  2. Jaywalker Socks — first attempt. I didn’t like using the Louet Sport for socks. Also I made a corrugated ribbing on the cuff and the snug floats made the ribbing un-stretchy. Blech. But these are back in the queue to try again.
